Its great what fell running can do, we were really pleased to support the Marshall Drive parkrun, Brotton with a contribution from the proceeds of the New Years Day Captain Cooks Fell Race to their defib fund to enable the purchase of a sparkly new defib that helps to keep parkrunners safe. The volunteers at Marshall Drive parkrun, Brotton do a fantastic job.We were delighted earlier this year when Esk Valley Fell club donated a massive £515 from the Captain Cook Fell run on New Years Day to enable us to replace our defibrillator. Clive and Bob popped along this morning to present the defib along with our Mally. In addition we had a dedicated parkrun tourist as our first finisher, James came on the train from Durham arriving into Saltburn at 7.10 this morning (the next train in was 8.54 which was pushing it a bit!) he enjoyed a walk along the cliffs as his warm up! Running Marshall Drive completed his North East parkrun challenge 👏Also enjoying the delights of Saltburn on holiday was the Ness family, their home parkrun is Millhouses in Sheffield with 600 runners and flat it is a bit different to Marshall Drive, but Lydia took on our big dipper challenge and enjoyed the course. We welcomed 2 runners to their first ever parkrun, massive well done and we hope you return for more 😊.As ever thanks to everyone who joined us, enjoy the rest of your weekend and hope to see you again next Saturday ...
