TOMS BRANSDALE FELL RACE - DRAFT RESULTS![]()
Well that was a terrific evening, thank you to our organisers David and Trudy Sanderson and the volunteers from the local and fell running communities. Our generous hosts provided a lovely barbecue so a big thank you and their repeat sunny weather booking was observed yet again.![]()
A tremendous donation of £700 will go to Zoe's Place Baby Hospice Middlesbrough as surplus from race entries and your wonderful donations on the night.![]()
This was the fifth counter in the Dave Parry LETS RUN Summer Fell Race Series 2025.![]()
It was a sparkling run from Robert Sparkes (MSEN) Beverley AC who broke Chris Roberts longstanding course record (53.13) with a time of 52 minutes 26 seconds to win the open race. In the women's race Sara Willhoit (FSEN) Mercia Fell Runners followed up victory in Sunday's English Fell Championships counter Kettlewell Anniversary with a win at Bransdale in seventh overall and a time of 59 minutes 30 seconds.![]()
Making up the podiums were Catherine Williamson Loftus & Whitby A.C and Rhona Marshall Scarborough AC both FV40 in the women's race, then Oliver Shaw Loftus & Whitby A.C and Harry Holmes Matlock AC both MSEN in the open race.![]()
In the team competition it was York Knavesmire Harriers women and Loftus & Whitby A.C men.![]()

The pre-race presentation was a hand crafted mug by Little Wren Pottery to Graham Robinson in celebration of his recent 70th birthday and recognition of his regular volunteering at the fell races.![]()

As a reminder this is fifth counter in the Dave Parry LETS RUN Summer Fell Race Series 2025 (FRA licence number 2025-9347) its being held on Wednesday 25th June 2025. ![]()
The event is organised inaccordance with the Fell Runners Association (FRA) regulations. ![]()
Car Parking is available just down the hill from the registration location.![]()
Registration opens at approximately 17:45hrs and will close at 19:00hrs with the race starting at 19:15hrs. ![]()
Race organiser David Sanderson and spouse Trudy have arranged a barbecue for all participants/helpers/supporters as the race concludes honesty donation to charity.![]()
Entry on the Day only, if you have already competed in any of the Summer Series 2025 events so far (Fox and Hounds; Bilsdale; Glaisdale Rigg and Whorlton Run) bring your race number which you will of course retained. Please fess-up if you have lost, forgotten or misplaced temporarily your race number and we can make you up a new one on the night. ![]()

Please bring the full FRA mandatory minimum kit to the event and be prepared to carry all or some of the kit, the race organiser will confirm the kit requirements at the event.
(Waterproof body cover (top + bottoms) including attached hood and taped seams, hat (buff), gloves, map, compass, whistle, emergency food, (drink is personal choice)).![]()
Remember no route navigation by means of your gps watch, device or other electronic trickery. By all means record your run for later interrogation.![]()
Also a small film crew will be at the fell race, they are shooting a documentary style film about fell running in association with Rab. ![]()

Kettlewell Anniversary Fell Race 2025![]()
Regulars at the Dave Parry LETS RUN Fell Series were in the York. Dales on Sunday 22 June 2025.![]()
It’s well done to Sue Haslam of Scarborough AC who claimed second place in the women’s FV70+ category at the latest English Fell Championships counter (3rd of 6).![]()
Just outside of a podium finish was Neil Rip Ridsdale Esk Valley Fell Club who was 4th in the MV65+ and Jim Rogers of City of Hull AC who was 4th in the MV60+, Adrian Bushby also City of Hull AC just missed out on a top 10 place in the M55+ category with Clive Thornton Esk Valley Fell Club in the middle reaches of the MV60+.![]()
Trevor Symonds North Leeds Fell Runners MV65+ made the top 20 and Joe Blackett Dark Peak Fell Runners MV60+ just outside the top 20.![]()
