Lockton Limping Fell RaceFRA Licence 2025-9530Results - Draft (Any typos, errors etc please let us know)Third counter in as many weeks in the Dave Parry LETS RUN Winter Fell Race Series 2025/26.The rain held off for around 130 of the 133 competitors, the early clear blue skies and chill autumn sunshine gave way to blustery northerly winds and rain of varying intensities.Thanks to the many volunteers and race organiser Nick Cousins and our registration hosts at the Village Hall.In the womens race, sorry for any lack of clarity during the prize giving, the finishing order of the top five was as follows: 1 Ursula Catton WSEN York Knavesmire Harriers 2 Natalie Greaves W40 York Knavesmire Harriers3 Rhona Marshall W40 Scarborough AC4 Esther Harrison W40 Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers5 Rose Mather WSEN York Knavesmire HarriersIn the mens race the top 5 looked like this:1 Rob Sparkes MSEN Beverley AC2 Tom Bell MSEN North Leeds Fell Runners3 Sam Leadley MSEN Loftus & Whitby A.C4 Rory Bevin MSEN Individual#5 Rory Stead MSEN Keighley & Craven ACThe top three all bettered the course record held by today's winner Rob Sparkes, a new mark was posted by Rob of 45 minutes 7 seconds, some 4 minutes faster than the now previous record, so well done.In the team competition, York Knavesmire Harriers women eased to victory placing their three counters in the top five. Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers placed second with Scarborough AC third.In the mens competition, it was a third straight victory for Esk Valley Fell Club, with home club Pickering RC second and York Knavesmire Harriers third.Well done to all the Summer Fell Race Series award recipients, Top five, Age Group, Endurance and Team.
